I don't care for Yaz all that much, nope, can't say I do

I've been driving a rental for a little over a week, with probably another week to go. The lady at the Hertz counter was so overwhelmed by my charm and ruggedly handsome good looks that she threw in free Sirius radio for the duration. When I told her I was also a "major" stockholder in the fledgeling enterprise, she almost gave me the rental for free... but then again, maybe she had a little something else on her mind.

Sirius has some good stations. Definitely a little something for everyone... multiple stations of country, jazz, hard rock, old rock, hip hop, techno, news, sports, an Elvis station, a Rolling Stones station, BBC News, an NFL station, etc. About four times as many country stations as I can stand, and only half the techno I'd want. They got Martha Stewart, Tony Hawk, Jimmy Buffet, Liddy, Reagan, Snow, Press, Stern someday, etc.

One thing I really like is always being able to see the name of the group and the song that's playing. On "terrestrial" radio you hear something you wan't to know the name of, but then have to sit through who knows what for who knows how long to find out that they divulged the info before the song. Showing credits during the song makes pretty good advertising sense I think.

I've mostly been listening to a station called "1st Wave" which is loosely based on 80's New Wave songs. Good stuff and they have some DJs that I remember from the old KROQ days in SoCal - Richard Blade, Freddy Snakeskin (sic?), etc.

One band they play occasionally is Yaz. Remember them. They had some minor hits way back. They even did a "Best Of" album... it was their third album. Never cared for them much.

Once I figure out a way to run this through a PC and capture the songs, I may get this.
